She flops like a (heavy) rag doll, and shrieks if we touch her; refuses to try raising her arm when I try to give her medication. Waking from bed in the morning, she's okay. And once we get her moving, she's all right. It's almost like sleep paralysis, except no hallucinations. She was recently Dx with sleep apnea, so her night time sleep is poor, though how that could cause daytime sleep paralysis, I can't imagine. Has anyone on this forum experienced something similar?

Someone else here (or on another site) had this too. There was a medical diagnosis for it. See your doctor.

That's the problem; we have consulted her doctors. They don't seem to have tried to give answers. How might I find the link to the previous question you refer to?

Has she been seen by a geriatric psychiatrist? Google conversion disorder

BarbBrooklyn, I will Google that. To answer your first question, yes. The current speciist attending physician is a geriatrician specializing in psychiatry.
