Yes....this happens as the end nears.
My Mom was sleeping 22+ hours a day...this lasted about a week...then it was all the time. That lasted another week till she passed.

Oh, I hope not, This has been a cycle for her. This may go on for a week, and then she will be quite alert. She is very alert when we are out. I am just wondering what may cause these cycles and if it is normal. This has been going on for months.
