This is starting to cause her skin problems. Is this normal as her alzheimer's progresses? Any ideas on getting round the stubborness? I've tried various bargaining tactics to just plain bullying her. There must be a better way. cadams

I actually did try bribing her with different things that DID work. One time it was ice cream, the next time I told her I would tell her "Poppa" (who she dearly loved and would never do anything to displease him). I need more ideas.
My mom also acts like I'm going to cut her finger when cutting her nails and yells as if I did.....and I never have done this....cadams

Can you bribe her with a piece of candy ?

I find when my mom is being stubborn then I either try to get her to laugh or I ignore her - she cussed me out tonight while I was trying to trim her nails claiming I was cutting her so I said fine I'll give you a dollar if I do - she kept cussing and I kept trimming
