Mom is in nursing home in IL and recently on Medicaid. If I sell her car ($2,000) can the state put a lien on the car when she dies?

I listed the car on the Medicaid application, but nothing was mentioned about it on the Medicaid approval documents.

contact your Medicaid caseworker. If you've sold the car there is no way to put a lien on it after she dies. They may some or all of the money to be used for her expenses.
