I had the same problem when my mom was living here. She was yelling for me all the time and running me ragged. She kept falling, and I was so afraid she was going to really hurt herself or worse. Now that she is in a home, I know she is being taken care of and I don't have to worry. I visit her often and I miss her, but I know it is for the best.
My mom is also exhibiting the same type of behavior and attitudes, but not constantly. I try (it's a goal, not an attained consistent practice) to use my sense of humor and joke and tease with her for my own sanity as well as for some mental connections with her.. most of the time it works to ease the situation and many times she even laughs and we move on.
I used to work for Delaware County welfare office in Pennsylvania I didn't work for the elder care section but there is one available. Call your local welfare office and explain that you're looking for care for your mom. They should be able to direct you and what to do next. I hope this helps.
