What type of Supplemental insurance? I know that some people on Medicaid Medical, but they maintain a Medication Supplemental to cover their medication costs. While there are not out of pocket for Medical care costs, there are for medications and the Supplemental policy, such as Silver Script, covers those. AND you may qualify for Extra Help to pay for the Medication Supplemental. This may result in having to pay zero out of pocket or a very little for medications.

If anyone knows a way to get Medicaid Medical to pay all out of pocket for Medications, please let me know. I've tried to arrange that for my LO, but, I have told she needs the Silver Script, even with Medicaid Medical (Secondary). (Medicare Primary.)

If she is now on Medicaid, she does not need supplemental insurance.
