She had a massive stroke 3 years ago. What are we to do. We have done the best we can all (8) of us to help her after her stroke and have been by her side for the past (3) years. Her health conditions are getting worse. Now she refuses to eat. What are we to do?

My mom stopped eating near the end of her stay in a nursing home and it was not long after that she died from a stroke.

What does the doctor and the nurse at the nursing home say about this? Can you bring Hospice into this situation?

What does her doctor say? Losing that much weight in a short time is a signal a doctor should look at. Have they mentioned Hospice?

If she still drinks then give her ensure plus ,which is a meal itself but in liquid form and is full of vitamins , comes in all lovely flavours.
I also give her cargeen moss , seawood full of iron , simmer in milk , makes a lovely warm drink..you can add honey , syrup , mashed up conference pears, very good for keeping up bowel movements. Good luck
