You do need some help! One way to start is to contact your state's agency on aging, explain your situation, and ask about options. Is Mom on Medicaid yet?

Now that your daughter is older you are right that she should not be expected to sleep with Gramma. Reassure your daughter that Gramma is sick and isn't thinking clearly. This is not your daughter's fault. If Gramma scolds her for this tell her to just not worry about it. Poor Gramma doesn't mean to be nasty, but Daughter is right to want her own bed. Be sure your daughter knows you are on her side, without making Gramma into the bad guy.

Mom is probably following up with her cancer doctor, but I think she also needs to see someone who specializes in treating elders, like a geriatrician, or perhaps even someone who treats dementia. Start by talking to the doctor she does see now, explain the new symptoms of hallucinations and paranoia. Perhaps that doctor can refer you to another kind of doctor.

Yes, please follow Jeanne's advice. Call her cancer doctor and tell her/him about mom's paranoia and delusions. She needs another doctor involved in her treatment.
