Mom had a bad urinary tract infection. Went to hospital. They let her go cold turkey off her antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds. Then they changed her blood pressure meds. Cleared up UTI but her mind is still very confused. Sent ger to rehab place on Tuesday. Last night that place sent her to a hospital for a psych evaluation. It was negative. Now the ER at hospital says they can't keep her. And Park Manor says they have to get new authorization from insurance company. My daughter was handling things so I could go out of town. I have tried to speak to an administrator at Park Manor and got the Head of Nursing. We don't know what to do. Mom needs care. Any ideas? Holiday weekend

Find Care & Housing
Is Park Manor a nursing home? Tell them they'd better take mom back after an ER visit. Tell the hospital that your lawyer says you have grounds to sue for stopping meds. And tell your daughter not to get bullied into anything.

Call patient advocate at hospital, in any event.

Get her back on her proper meds. Next time you go to the ER bring all the prescription bottles with you. And psych evaluations take 72 hours, not overnight.
