We have good days/bad days . she is still mobile, has a walker, hut gets confused easily. I am ok with that but when she is wrong she gets so mad, I get cursed out. I feel I have my children all over again.

Old age is not for cowards. The angry phase comes around as the patient is still well enough to know they are losing control. My MIL still insists we are the ones with faulty memory. We simply redirect the conversation to something more pleasant. Try not to point out that she was wrong.

I think many people do that no matter what their age.... it's just human nature. My significant other cannot admit when he was wrong about something, so he gets defensive. Come to think of it, I do too, at times.

if theres dementia / memory illness involved the last thing you want to do is point out her mistakes , as pam said . you'll only become the enemy . her thought process is warped , she believes shes right ..
