Fluids. Lots and lots of fluids. It sounds like she has a problem with her lungs. As soon as you can get home, take her to the doctor.

You live in the US, but your mother lives in Colombia where you are currently visiting her - is that correct?

However inadequate the health care system may be, your mother requires medical attention. If it isn't possible to bring a doctor to see her, can you perhaps telephone your nearest hospital and ask to speak to an emergency doctor?

Fluids often are a good idea, especially if your mother has vomited, has had diarrhoea, or doesn't seem to be drinking enough water. But I don't think you should guess - get advice. Make some calls.

Who diagnosed the AD, by the way?

Okay, right, so... you must have got her to the neurologist through some kind of medical services system. Any reason you can't access it now?

Is there an Emergency Room or Urgent Care clinics there? If so, take her there. Not much else you can do.
