My son has been changed from ssi and lost his medicaid coveragebecause his father retiref snd they have placed my son on his docial security and will not be eligiblr for medicare for a year. My granddaughter is our in home caregiver for him. Will he lose her help now since he will not havemeficaid or medicare? We live n Texas.

I don't know the answer to your question. But if Medicaid payed her before and now he doesn't have Medicaid it sounds like she wouldn't get paid. I assume you've gone on Texas websites to look for the answers. This sounds wrong that he would go to SSI and not have insursnce for a year but I don't have any experience with this. Hopefully someone will come along who does and will answer. Sorry.
