Looking for a medical alert button for my 90 year old Mom. Just had a fall. She's OK, but it could have been a lot worse.
Any recommendations?
Do any have GPS?

Phillips Lifeline. There are several models with different features. I have worked as a HC nurse and agreed to be at the patient’s home the first day and she & I activated it. The response time was immediate. It was loud enough to be heard, that’s for sure. And the rep answered quickly and in real time.

Back then basic service began at $29/month but that was 6 yrs ago. I don’t know the current rate.

I used Medical Guardian. Others have their favorites.

The one that is from Humana gave us problems. They replaced the unit. Same issues.

They may start you off at no cost if it is through insurance but after a certain time the company does charge for device. I recommend getting a lockbox with key for outside of front door.

The feature to detect falls did not always function. The response time was delayed so I would have to call 911 with my cell. Then they would respond back while I was reporting incident to the 911 operator. Ended up being very frustrating, so I canceled service.
