Mom and I need to downsize from a house to senior apartments. With our incomes combined we don't qualify for Section 8 but can't afford rent.

Mother and I live in a rented home. We need to move together into a senior apartment. The problem is we are $1,000 over the limit for Section 8 with our incomes combined, but we cannot afford rents that are usually 1,000 and up monthly. Help us

There are low income complexes for 55 and up.
