My 80 YO, legally blind (some sight),  demented  MIL cannot sit still. She will sit maybe a minute or two and get up constantly. She does go to the bathroom a lot. Sometimes two - three times in a 10 minute span. No UTI's. She just can't sit down.

Find Care & Housing
If she was busy in her prime, she may be looking for something she should be "doing"... i.e. cooking, laundry, straightening things, etc. My mom is like that. She arranges and re-arranges and walks around the house on and off a lot. Not sure about the peeing part...? If no UTIs she might just be going in there to finish if she's not fully going to the bathroom each time... that is all I can think of. I give my mom the mardi gras beads to separate by color for me. That keeps her busy sometimes; she has collected a bucket of them from garage sales with me.....and folding clothes... maybe she just wants something to occupy her.

The beads are a great idea! I will have to try that out. How often do you give her beads?. She cleans our chicken eggs but cannot do that all the time. I know she is bored. But I don't have the time to spend with her and my husband is constantly busy and she follows him like a puppy. It drives us both crazy.
