I think that for most of us on the forum the hours of daylight are fewer now and that is well known to affect many people.

I think so. Don't u have slight changes. I remember it rained for a solid week when I worked. Everyone in the office was miserable. It happens to me when the Sun goes down, so do I. Winter is a depressing season. It gets dark earlier and I think that effect Dementia.

Jeamar, I agree with JoAnn, weather changes can affect everyone no matter what age, with or without memory issues.

We get "positive ions" just before it rains/snow. What makes this even worse is that we also get "positive ions" from electromagnetic fields generated by computers, cell-phones, and other electronic devices which can interfere with our brain function.... and causing symptoms anxiety, breathing issues, feeling fatigue, headaches, irritability, lack of energy, you name it. Yikes, imagine how lousy we all feel on a rainy day sitting in front of a computer with our cellphone in our pocket.

Back in the 1950's, I remember my Dad building a "negative ion" that he would plug into an electrical outlet. It had a clear air smell that I can remember to this day. Similar to the clean air one get right after a lightening strike.

Just before a rain, watch how people drive. Makes you not want to leave the house :P
