My aunt is not alone, but can no longer remember to press the button when she falls. When she did use it, the monitor woke us so we could help. Now she can't remember to press it. Luckily I heard her fall in the bathroom last time. I'm looking for a fall-detector watch with a monitor I can hear, carry in house, have in our bedroom. The dog no longer barks every time my aunt falls. I do not want an automatic connect to 911 or a service outside the home, but can't seem to find one on the computer.

There are services that have motion sensor devices. If the person falls and can't push the button, the motion alerts the systems operator. I used Phillips for Mom.

I think you are going to have to buy the device that hears the alarm put out when she falls. If I was looking, I would start by phoning companies that sell the full alarm systems. Ask if they can provide what you are looking for, or whether they can suggest where you could try. Start with a non-profit service. Work out a question to get you past the switch board and into the technical area. There is a good chance that if you phone several in a row, you will eventually find a technician who is interested in the device rather than making a sale, and will give you some suggestions.
