Ask your pharmacist for the drug insert information and look your drugs up online for side effects and interaction with foods and other drugs. Discuss with your prescribing doctor any medication you are given in depth. When you are taking medications that lower blood pressure I suggest you take your BP at home. Buy any device that works best and easiest for you; check it with your MD office to make certain you get similar numbers. Blood pressure often fluctuates a LOT between MD office, where it is typically higher, and at home, when it may be lower.
