My mom is 72 years old and used to be really demanding when I was growing up. She was diagnosed with Parkinson's last year and now she is so whiny and needy. I took her shopping yesterday and went to grab a few things for myself, she said in her whiny voice "you left me and I was scared" but when I call her on it, she snaps out immediately. Is this still her controlling personality from when I was young? Or is it part of the disease? She usually will pull that needy, whiny voice when she wants something...

Have Mom evaluated for Dementia. It goes hand and hand with Parkinson's and they do get needy.
