Crushing meds

Pills comes in all different forms... some can be cut in half, some not... some can be crushed, some not... some can be chewed, some not. Your best bet is to ask the pharmacist where you got the pills.

The short answer is NO. You might want to google that question, I found a helpful article giving the reasons - too much iron can harm the stomach lining - and offering alternatives.

Best to call the dr. Or pharmacist for options. They do make liquid iron that is best mixed with juice. You have to drink it through a straw so it doesn't stain the teeth.

No you can't. When you crush it then it's absorbed to quickly and can destroy your stomach. If you (or the one taking them) can't swallow, they make a liquid iron supplement that can replace the pills.

All the above are very good answers. I would also not crush it because iron tablets taste terrible. The taste would probably linger for quite a while, no matter what you put it in.
