Where can I find information to help Mom overcome this fear of falling.

My Mom has a fear of falling since 2 recent falls, she suffers from dementia. Where can I find info that will help me with this? My mom's recent falls (two) no bones were broken but she has a fear of falling when the therapist try to get her to walk. Where can I find information to help her overcome this fear of falling.

I'm bringing her home from a rehab facility on 12/24 since PT feels like they are not making adequate progress and medicare will not continue to pay for her to be in a rehab facility. I will home health care and PT coming to the house but I will pursue have a neurologist evaluate her again if I can get her mobile enough to get to the doctor. She also suffers from dementia.

Definitely start with the MD. The PT only deals with the physical problems, the emotional and neurological ones require intervention with a geriatric specialist. She should have a complete neuro-psych workup and brain imaging to see a more definitive diagnosis can be obtained.
