I'm 49 and in bad health and disabled. I have no family support or help at all. I have ADL'S I have found difficult to accomplish. Advice?

Hi. You need to look into hiring help at home or moving to a place that offers help with ADLs. Hiring someone for a few hours at home might give you enough time to explore other options. It all costs money, but depending on your finances, you might qualify for Medicaid which would help pay for it.

Marie, what state do you live in? What is your financial situation? You may want to consider contacting social services and get assessed for help with in-home care and other forms of help. You might want to investigate assisted living in a care community so that you will be with others. Hopefully you have someone who is your durable PoA. If not, you can hire a professional to do that for you. Also, if you live near some churches you should contact their office or pastor and ask if they have a care ministry.
