You need a case manager with social services to help you with all of this, or legal aid. Please contact legal aid in your area and social services. Do you have a contact person in social work? You must have seen one in the past. Seek out their help.

Until you have a Social Worker do not move out. yes you have an Eviction Notice. That is 30 days BUT the landlord HAS to go to Court for the Eviction before he/she can do anything else. court cases for evictions take quite a while. They can not go in and change locks nor can your belongings be removed.

Where I live an eviction is 6 months if a person does not leave after a 30day notice.

Yes, when you applied for section 8 your Caregiver should have been included if he/she was living with you. By SSI do you mean Suppliment income or Social Security Disability or just regular Social Security? I ask because if SSD or SS you may be able to get Supplimental income too which is called SSI. This will give you more money monthly.

Where I live Office of Aging also has the Disabilities Dept. You have rights as a disabled person. Call them and ask if they can help or give you a number of Legal aid. The problem with Social Services is different departments handle different things. Sometimes the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. You need someone who can straighten this out for you. You are a hardship case and $50 a month on a limited income means food or a utility bill. I so hope as a disabled person you are taking advantage of all the resources out there for you.

From the time O posted the subject line changed. He was not asking for help 24/7 it said my friend and then said in the body quit two jobs. The post has nothing to do with needing care it has to do with getting evicted.
