I have an incontinence issue.

I used vinegar and soaked the item before washing. Mom wore a lot of polyester which retains the smell. So like shad said, hang them out to dry. I found that drying in the dryer brought the smell out. I also used Arm and Hammer but have gone back to Tide which I think works well for smells. My clothes seem cleaner. Soak clothes right away. Don't allow the smell to set in.

Mom wore pads for years. A stay in rehab got her wearing pull ups.

Hang out in the sun, especially if it is warm, but not humid.

I imagine you tried oxi-clean? I find it good for most stuff but haven't tried on urine. They say with any stain not to use hot water as it sets stains, and tothill is right, line or fluff or air dry if possible.

Ammonia in a Soak/prewash cycle.

Extra rinse.

Line dry in the sun if possible.

Synthetic fabrics tend to release odours when they get warm. If the smell has been in synthetic fabric for a long time it my not be possible to get it out.

Are you wearing some kind of adult incontinence product like Depends? If not, I would certainly start there. Then if you by chance have a small leak, the smell won't be as bad. And really just washing your clothes with laundry detergent will get the smell out right away. I hope you're not leaving your wet clothes on after you get pee in them. Put any items that might have pee on them(clothing, underwear, bedding etc.) in the wash right away, so the smell won't permeate through your house. It's really not complicated.

Add vinegar to your wash, it will help. It neutralizes smell. It won’t smell like vinegar. Add bleach/fabric softener amount to each wash.

Let's back up.

Are you using incontinence protection? If you use adult incontinece briefs or pads, then the urine shouldn't penetrate your clothing.

For getting urine smells out, the best products, I have found are the enzymatic ones made for pet urine, like Nature's Miracle.
