My mother is 88 years old and in good health. She had a stroke a year-and-a-half ago that gave her a short-term memory deficit. She can function on her own in most instances however She needs to be motivated and assisted in certain activities.

Find Care & Housing
JEickholt, first of all this forum isn't an employment portal. Second, keeping your mom in her home is isolating and a care community will be better for her socially. The cost of in-home care will eventually meet and exceed that of a facility or agency (if it goes to 24/7). There are definitely big downsides to private pay, live-in care (as in it makes you an employer and you have to admin it all) so please read around further in this forum so you go into it with your eyes wide open.
