Find Care & Housing
There comes a time when the large majority of us get to a point of not being able to provide 24/7 care anymore. And that is ok. You need help. If you can afford in home assistance get some. Most cannot afford it. Look into memory care.

One of the hardest things of being a caregiver is admitting to ourselves that we need help and cannot do it all ourselves.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding what you're asking, but it sounds to me like you're asking about a walking cane??? Forgive me if you're not and I am reading this wrong, but my husband first started with a regular cane, then went on a quad cane, and then ended up on a hemi walker, which was much more sturdy for him, as he at that time was having a hard time walking, and he felt much more secure walking with it. You can order one online at Amazon, Walgreens, Walmart etc.

Wow! Good for you for continuing to care for your wife. If her care becomes too much for you, begin to hire some additional help. Don't attempt to do more than is safe for you both.

Stay as well as you can. Love your wife. Get extra help if you need to.

The Alzheimer's Association often has wonderful information about available help and support even for people who do not have Alzheimers.
