My mother kicks the blankets off at night occasionally because she is hot, and seems restless. I put on a thin blanket and she sleeps sound. Temp is 99.4 degrees with heavy blanket, thin blanket 97.0 degrees. Does she have a heavy blanket on at night? Is she able to tell you why she keeps taking her blankets off? My mom is able to tell me she is very hot with a comforter and blanket on. Hope the problem is solved soon.
Your Mom may be too hot. Lower the sleeping temperature as she gets in bed.
"The best sleeping temperature for most adults is 60 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit (15 to 22 degrees Celsius).
The ideal temperature for elderly people is around 66 to 70°F (19-21°C). It is also vital to = keep the living room and bedroom temperature consistent with each other.
A lot will depend on her personal preferences. Some people naturally sleep hot and others sleep cold. It’s perfectly normal to go below or above these recommended numbers to what makes you feel most comfortable."
The covers may be too heavy.
Some elders sleep in the nude, so do you need a large pad to protect the bed? Is this a new behavior?
