How to report elderly abuse from a family member?

My sister blocks family from visiting her alone by yelling at her, leaving, isolates her from family and friends, keeps the house nasty, abuses her. My sister is mean to my mother, says if you speak to my brother I will move out and not take care of you.

You can report the situation to Adult Protective Services in her county. Look them up on the Dept of Health and Human Services online. Document things with dates and names and specifics. If your sister has PoA for your mom, it will be more difficult.

Adult Protective Services should be notified if you suspect mental or physical abuse.
