Any advice dealing with sciatica and severe pain in feet especially at the top of toes. The foot pain began almost a year ago and I replaced all my shoes with soft cloth Sketchers. Plus now sciatica is flared up. The doctor advises to take Aleve. Which helped at first but no relief after a week on Aleve. Going off it now as I believe it could be harmful after prolonged use. I’ve ordered a hip and thigh brace in hopes of some relief.

This means your pinching a nerve that is why pain in your foot. Have you gone to a chiropractor? Maybe he can give you skme exercises. Have you tried a heating pad where the sciatica is?

My DH was complaining about a pain in his armpit. He never complains about pain. After having tests done it was found he had carple tunnel in his wrist. Seems the nerve in his wrist runs up under the armpit.

Have you seen your doctor a podiatrist? That would be my 1st stop, rule out something else with the foot pain.

I recommend getting a referral to a PT that deals with sciatica.

Also, YouTube has lots of videos that show how to stretch for relief.
