We like to use to help my wife avoid getting up too many times and not get sleep,

We had a good experience at hospital but does this home unit work as advertised,

Do we need to keep it running all time?

Thanks

No experience to relate, but will tell you my daughter is a RN in a hospital and hates PureWick, she says they always leak and the nurses find them beyond annoying

I have been using the Pure wick System for my Mom the last 2 months and it works great. It enables us both to sleep thru the night and it cuts off once the canister is full. The bedside ones they advertise are very expensive. Over $500. We bought a vacuum suction unit from Amazon for $166 which works just as good. It is electric and does make a lot of noise. Mom leaves the tv on to drown out the noise. The only problem is that the tubing gets stopped up I guess since urine is acidic. I have ordered replacement tubing but in the meanwhile I flush it out with cola each night to keep it clear. The female external wicks cost me about $195 a month for 30 wicks. Each wick lasts 8 to 10 hours before needing to be changed. Also Medicare does not pay for any of this. I think we should lobby to get these paid for. My Moms problem is due to complications from covid so I believe they should be responsible for paying for it. Anyway, this has been our experience. I hope this helps.
