I had conflict with my mum aged 80. We hardly communicate. I need a mediator to help me out. What should I do?

I imagine a pastor or priest would be willing to help you, even if you are not part of the flock. Pick one close to you, as your mental health is what needs to be tended to first. You can only save others in a plane crash if you have on your own oxygen mask first!

Most likely the root cause is the disease of dementia which causes paranoia, delusions, and misunderstandings by the elder. It can be very painful to see our elders act this way if they have never been ugly before!

The City and State you live in or the City and State your mother live in has a listing of court certified mediators. You can also call the county family court for a suggestions with a mediator as well as an elder law firm for suggestion on where to seek additional help.
