I live independently, however need a caretaker due to mobility issues from an accident. To be eligible to local caretakers, I must be on Medicaid. I would not be able to afford to live independently if I converted to Medicaid, what can I do to get a caretaker?

darendes, could you afford to self-pay for a caregiver from a local caregiving agency? The cost averages around $20-$30/per hour with a minimum of 2 or 4 hours?
