Find Care & Housing
Medicaid and Medicare do not pay for transportation either. You would have to find transport and arrange payment from your assets or her (I am sure) less than $2000 in assets. You need to find a facility near you that has an open medicaid bed to even look at beginning the move. Qualifying in one state can make it easier to qualify in the new state, but you will have to manage the process and payments,. Would she be able to travel in the condition you describe? Medical transport with assistance can be very expensive.

If your parent is on Medicaid then then they will have to apply for Medicaid in your state. Medicaid is not transferable and other than in some emergency situations, your parent cannot use their state Medicaid insurance in your state.
