This isn't unusual. Is this a matter of forgetting or a matter of feeling as tho he or she doesn't NEED it?

Are you looking at balance issues or other issues?

Is your spouse newly diagnosed with a problem requiring the walker, and the walker NEW to your spouse?

Any information you can give us may help.

Maybe use a rollator it has a seat and is easier to move because you don't have to pick it up to move it.
