Click your avatar, top right, select profile, about me, then, most important do not forget to save your changes at the bottom of the page.

Go to the “about me” page of your profile and click on it. You can click on what you originally wrote about yourself and then type in any changes you want to make.

Correction.
Click avatar, select Settings, then there is a light gray ribbon where you can make changes, then save them.
