Hi. I am new to this site.  My 79-year-old mother has MCI with amnesiac features. She lives with my husband and me. She has for over 20 years. It was a mutually agreed upon decision then. She helped taking care of my daughter and it was fine. Within the last 2 years, her memory began to fail. She is on the generic aricept. My question is how do I cope with her clingyness to me. She never leaves. She repeats herself constantly. She is completely taking care of her bathing , dressing, and bathroom needs. I provide meals . I just need help in dealing with this. I have lost the mother I had. She worked for years and went out with friends. Now, she sits here watching the news all day. I feel guilty when I go anywhere with out her. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I am 56 and my husband is 60 . Thanks
