Mom was hyper obsessive with invading the kitchen in a walker until we poured her a small glass of wine. Then her cheeks got rosy and she calmed down. Call me an alcoholic, I don't care, if 2 ounces of merlot buys peace, so be it.

I am thankful that it went well. Mom had a good time and got to be the center of attention for a while. She doesn't get that much, so it was a good thing.

We had our Thanksgiving the Sunday before Thanksgiving. I find it is just easier doing it that way, less crowds in the grocery stores, as long as the weatherman doesn't say SNOW for tomorrow.

Had my parents over..... the grocery store cooked the turkey so all I needed to do was heat and serve the bird and the pre-cooked side dishes.... note, I am no Julia Childs and being born female doesn't mean I automatically know how to cook, cooking to me is like a science project gone horribly wrong :)

My parents watched football with my sig other prior to dinner and after dinner, all three fell asleep in front of the TV.... funny I am not into football but I was the only one awake :P

Mom and Dad went home with a lot of left overs, so they were happy, and Dad was glad to have something different to eat.

Sig other was at work on Thanksgiving Day, I had the day off so I worked on my Christmas cards.

Thanksgiving was peaceful. Dad thought it was Mother's Day and wanted to drive into town and buy flowers and chocolates, despite watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV....Mom hasn't ever liked chocolates, but there you have it. Brother assured Dad he would bring them both when he came for dinner and that was the end of that.

Had Second Thanksgiving today at mom's nursing home with all three of her kids, 7 out go 8 grandkids and her 2 1/2 year old great grandson (my grandson). Lots of food and good times, she stayed for almost 2 hours and then was tired and asked to go back to her room.
