Yikes. If she smokes around an oxygen tank you may not need to worry about her going into a home. She lives with you or on her own? Plain and simple, you cannot “force” her to move into a home. We could use some more details; anything you’d care to share. Does she have dementia? Why do you feel she needs to be in a facility? Is she difficult to get along with? Could you use a break? Would respite care help?
