i've been told by a couple nurses that there are agencies that will send someone out to change disposables even if it's the only reason they're being sent. but yet i can't find ANY agency that does this..my mother needs changing as her regular help is going to be gone for a day and a half..my mother will not let me(her son) clean and change her(and i don't blame her really.i wouldn't want to..she's not got dementia or old timers or any other type of illness..she has a broken leg and has been in therapy and has to wear disposables til she can use her good leg again..but i can't find an agency that will send someone out for the sole reason of changing them. i ahve checked the internet of course as well as made phone calls to various care agencies.nobody's been very helpful so far.

im the origninal poster and it was algitimate issue thank you!!! my mother is 91 years old and i'm 62..i hired a registered nurse that lives on the same complex property my moher and i live on(senior community)but she's not working out so well ..over the weekend i found a place that charegd me 60 bucks per hour..thank goodness changing a diper doesn't take that long'nor does tranporting one from one room to another..i have no idea what others are talking about when commenting about the OP and an advertisement..I live in Seagoville Texas so if an ad showed up from the same metro area i'm from it sure wasn't on behalf of anything i did, trust me.As isaid,i found an agency that does do what i was requesting...i had them come in and change her all of saturday and here it is sunday and the retired nurse i hired to help is again not shown up as she's supposed to..I need to find an agency that does this that accepts medicare..i can't afford shelling out this kind of money any longer ...I was told that there are agencies that do this that do accept medicare, but these same people that tell me this don't seem to know who..makes me wonder if they know what really know what they're talking about.anyway, any help would would be appreciated ...and i'm not running ads..i need help!!s i said,i live in a senior community in Seagoville Texas,a rural area just outside Dallas.

Aha! There's a new paradigm for advertising apparently. Pretend to be 2 posters; first persona asks a question; second one answers with an advertisement plug.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll check that from now on, although the spammers can easily create fictitious posts and residence areas.

You know, it really is kind of sad that someone thinks business could be created from that kind of online posting. I hope they're not sole proprietors!

GardenArtist, I thought it was interesting that the original poster and the person who posting the advertisement [which has been since removed] were from the same metro area.

"We will return after this commercial message". Sheez!

Understandably there usually is a minimum fee/hours that an agency will accept, so while they may indeed come just to change a diaper you will have to pay for the minimum... X hours of care, X days etc.
