dry she would squeze to force the saliva out and spit. When she is asked why you are spitting too much she says she feels like the gums have small thorns and she is trying to spit them up. This exercise she is doing all the time and you can notice she get exhausted.

Make an appointment this week for your Mother to see a dentist. If it isn't dental related, keep a notebook of what Mom eats as it could be an allergy or intolerance to a certain food, such as strawberries or other food items that have tiny seeds.

In the mean time, you can purchase at a drug store, OraJel which helps numbs the gums. Or some type a jel used for babies that are teething.
