My mom won't close her mouth much any more so there is the problem of drooling. She walks when she can with her head down. Any suggestions, it gets quite disgusting at times.

Poor little old thing. Is there no end to the indignities forced upon us as we age? Guess not...

They make disposal bibs made of paper for seniors. If you lived closer, I'd get you ones left over from mom. You're reminding me, I have to throw them away. Bibbens from Walgreens. $8 for 50. (Not sure, may only be available on line or ship-to-store.)

Don't know what to suggest for when she walks with head down, though, although maybe the bib will hang "out" when she walks...

Remind her to close her mouth. Tell her the best breathing . . . breathing that will oxygenate her most . . . is done through the nose with mouth closed.

Thanks, I have reminded her of that. With the dementia understanding requests sometimes pass right by her. Wondering of some bib or something else that might help clean up. Blouses and floor are always wet even with the normal bibs.
