I'd like to hear from someone who has knowledge of or who's family has hired one of these professionals called "Certified Geriatric Care Managers".

It's my understanding they can be a "one stop shop" for families seeking someone to help find and coordinate servces with an elderly family member, such as evaluations, finding ongoing care, and assisting with a transition to AL or other living situations.

I'm looking for recommendations, info on fees, etc. I'm located in the Danbury CT area, but happy to hear from anyone who's worked with these professionals.

Hello riverside00,

If you go to the link below, AgingCare.com has a search feature to help you find Geriatric Care Managers. Once you go to the link below you will find a blue search bar at the top of your screen. In the drop down box, choose Geriatric Care Manager and enter your city, state or zip.

I hope this helps.

Turn to the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM). The association's website www.caremanager has a Find a Care Manager search feature that allows you to locate a certified geriatric care manager by city, state or zip code.
