Has anyone had their loved one's long term care facility charge "extra" for in-room meals and COVID-19 supplies? I am not sure this is a practical or ethical thing to do under the circumstances.

Although we haven’t seen this month’s bill yet, my LO became a Medicare patient while she had Covid, so we expect the month’s bill will be less rather than more.

I think you should get in touch with the billing person and ask about this. I assume your mother didn’t become ill from the virus, but I’d sure want to know how this could’ve justified because of isolation.

The bill was actually just paid, and reflected 3 weeks (the duration of her illness) paid for byMedicare.

Just to verify, your LO had COVID-19 in a LTC facility and Medicare did pay the bill regarding this illness?
