Hi everyone. My 85 year old mom is in the middle stages of Alzheimers and vascular dementia. She lives in AL with my father, who has limited mobility. My mom was on Seroquel, which was working great. For a few months, until it wasn't anymore. She is now angry, agitated and yelling at everyone again. The psychiatrist at the AL is taking her off the Seroquel and has prescribed Resperidone. I am aware of the risks involved with Resperidone, but would like to know if any of you have had a loved one taking this drug and what their experiences have been. Our goal is to keep my parents together in the ALF. Thank you!
