Now that my dad’s pancreatic cancer pain is worsening he is hyperactive and wants to do a million things around the house. While I admire his determination to seek zest in life this hyperactivity is often followed by extreme fatigue and rage and mood swings. Because of his temper and rage I don’t argue but then he gets so mad when I’m not “overworking” like he is and he accuses me of ignoring him when I say nothing.

Is he on steroids? You should speak with his physician. My FIL had PC and he didn't display this type of behavior so I'm gonna guess it's either a medication thing or an inner gear that's kicked in as he comes to grips with his imminent mortality.

Leah, is dad on hospice?

I recall when my sil was dying of pancreatic cancer, she had a sudden burst of energy, sat up in her hospital bed, negotiated several deals on behalf of some clients (over the course of a couple of days) and then crashed. And died.

I would call dad's oncologist to discuss.
