Just be compassionate and tell him you sympathise how frustrating this must be for him. Ask him what he thinks you should do to better understand each other. Ie: note boards, hand signals, whatever it takes. Tell him you are doing the best you can and anger is not going to solve this situation.

My mom blood pressure is 160/90 she is on meds for and has been for awhile she has a check up in Dec but I'm a little worried she is 87 I have no one to help me with her.
