How do I go about getting senior housing for myself?

I am on some waiting lists for some senior housing complexes in another state. I don't want to wait; I just want to butt in line. How do I go about doing this?

HUD subsidized housing addresses the most needy first, who are already living in the state and homeless. Buttheads stay at the bottom of the list.
