My father is in stage 4 kidney failure needing dialysis ASAP. He also has various other issues, he is abusive (emotionally, mentally) to his wife, and children refuses to go to hospital as recommended by his primary care physician and nephrologist. How can we get help for him and his wife?? His mental health is very poor, he has high level anxiety, and depression, as well as heightened anger. He needs help ASAP!!! But refuses to allow family to intervene.

It sounds as though your dad is refusing treatment. Have you given consideration to calling a Hospice organization and having him evaluated for end of life care?

It's hard to tell from your post if dad is "in his right mind". Was he emotionally abusive before the kidney failure? Is he refusing treatment because "enough is enough" and he wants to die? If he is competent, he is allowed to make that decision. To support him, you call a hospice organization that will provide calming meds and support for a peaceful death.

Adult Protective Services will come in an evaluate the situation and more than likely call 911. If he is refusing care there is not a whole lot you can do.
I think you and your family need to stand strong and be prepared. Hoping for a resolution for you. Please update us.
