Find Care & Housing
Caregiving is usually funded by Medicaid and they will only pay licensed agencies that have a state contract. Your option would be to have the agency hire YOU. Some will hire family members. Fair warning: she may then resent you as much as the hired help she has now.

Thank you for your response,Yes I see where the cargivers are necessary in the day. I just have to get over there more often to make her dinner. She has a family member there at night. Thank you.

I see some mixed emotions here. You state that your mother "has to have her own way", "is really negative", yet you want to discontinue the caregivers? Isn't it possible that the characteristics you ascribe to her are the reason she resents the caregivers? How do you plan to care for her if there are no caregivers in the picture? And how do you plan to deal with the stress of someone who wouldn't trust you and would be negative toward you?

And what are her medical conditions? Can you handle them by yourself or with whoever else constitutes "we"?

You can make good meals for your mother without firing the caregivers.

But the other issue is whether you have any legal authority in the situation whatsoever. Who hired the caregivers? Who pays them? Who has durable and health care powers of attorneY?

More information is needed to provide accurate and helpful answers.
