Find Care & Housing
Your Dad will need a Power of attorney.Power of attorneys are not allowed to charge for services.POAs are not allowed to be paid for their services.POA is a free service unless noted otherwise in the POA paperwork by the attorney that created it.If you want to become your father's caregiver and to be paid for caregiver services?Do not become your father's POA.By doing so,you can't accept money as can't be paid. It's best for someone else in the family other then you to be your father's POA.Have another person as a sibling or ect be his POA.That way that POA can hire & pay you as your father's caregiver.I wish I knew this before I became POA.

Another idea is to avoid POA what so ever.Take your father to his doctor and have your father create a living Will with his doctor.A living will declaration is if your father wants life support and other ect when that time comes.Give your name and contact information to his doctor so it's noted.
Next, have your father place you as Joint on his bank accounts. That way you can simply pay your self for your services. But,don't abuse your assets. And don't withdraw large amounts.
